The Organic Way

The movement to incorporate organic products into our lifestyle started long ago and the benefits of moving away from harmful toxic chemical ingredients used in regular products need no explanation. But, are all products as marketed with the tag ‘organic’ truly organic? Companies can label any product “organic” as long as it contains at least one organic component, no matter how insignificant it might be. Thus, it is important to read the labels and take into account the ingredients used and learn if any of them are toxic. In a quest for authentic products with quality ingredients, Nazifa Tasnim interviews entrepreneurs of three native brands that have earned a certain reputation.

Organic Pharmacy BD

With a wholehearted effort to deliver organic and Non-GMO authentic herbs and products, Organic Pharmacy BD started its journey five years back. The owner Mr. Shahriar  says, “To us, organic is more than just marketing hype on a product label. A lot of the products sold in the market with “organic” written on it aren’t organic or even purely herbal. It’s a conscious choice we make to sell and use products that aren’t just sourced from natural ingredients but are non-toxic and pure as well. About 95% of our herbs are grown in our own fields using methods that are ancient and don’t alter the product in any form.” With around 300 products that include remedies targeted for health concerns, skin and hair care, herbal food supplements, and pure herbs, this brand believes in educating its customers and empowering them to make the healthiest choices for themselves and their families.
