Mim’s experience with Colors had been unique and amazing. Mim felt like herself with the makeup and dresses which were designed solely for this shoot. She further added that her previous experiences with other magazines, either had to be traditional, bridal which belonged to different houses or showrooms. She liked how everything was planned, the pictures taken by Rafiq were amazing. She hopes that viewers will love her in this unique “Khadi” look!

Mim’s journey in the industry had not been easy, she had to undergo several turmoils to be where she is right now. From where she has come from and then becoming a superstar certainly had its hard days. Mim comes from a small town in Rajshahi, while she was about to start her journey she was pulled backward many times. She heard many ill things about her until she proved herself working hard to prove everyone wrong. In addition, what was tougher for her was to stay along at her own pace. She knew she could not just sit back, she had to keep going and she did. She kept taking the best projects one after another. It sure has been a bittersweet journey for Mim but she is proud of where she is right now. Mim’s best projects were Amar Ache Jol, Jonakir Alo, and Podmo Patar Jol. These movies had always been very close to Mim’s heart. Whenever she rewatches these movies Mim feels a sense of nostalgia. She is thankful to Humayun Ahmen, Khalid Mahmud Mithu, and Tonmoy Tansen for giving her the floor to prove herself. Still today, when Mim sees her audience watching these or listening to the evermore beautiful songs of these movies, she feels content and it makes her feel like she has contributed something to society. Among these Jonakir Alo had secured her National Award, when she received the award Mim felt there is no stopping from this point. Although Mim had not come to the industry to slow down or sit back, this particular award had changed Mim’s entire perception. Mim yearns to continue working hard and make a mark in the industry.

Mim is currently working on four movies; Poraan, Damal, Ittefaq, and Ontorjaal. Of which Poraan’s shooting is finished. Mim believes that like these three movies Poraan, too, will leave her audience amazed by her performance. She adds that Poraan by Raihan Rafi is a simple script yet the presentation is excellent and she hopes that her viewers will enjoy her college-girl look. The overview of the movie is the struggles of young relationships, the emotional turmoil, and some sweet happy moments which the audience will cherish and love about the movie.

Turning down Vishal Bhardwaj was not something that Mim wanted. However, she said that she does not want to enter Bollywood by putting her own country down. She added that the history of Bangladeshi politics in the movie needed some more learning. Her audience congratulated her for holding on to her roots and not accepting the movie. Although it was tough for Mim, yet she saw how her audience reacted to her decision; this gave Mim a sense of hope and accomplishment. She also said that her audiences are going to see her patriotic side in her upcoming movie Damal by Raihan Rafi. She believes in herself and she hopes that more Bollywood offers would come across and if she likes the script she would not hesitate to take the part. Mim’s Black by Raja Chandra, which she did almost four years ago, now appears on Netflix and Mim is very happy about it. She hopes that her audience would be happy to see herself on an international platform.

Mim left a message for the directors and scriptwriters that she looks forward to working in historical and mythological characters. Historical and mythological characters like Durga, Kaali, Debi would showcase something different yet very strong and would also portray women empowerment and feminism.

Mim is a fitness enthusiast, she works out in the morning and tries to keep her diet on track. She shared her diet chart with us, which included high amounts of protein like chicken, fish, etc. Mim has been maintaining her diet for quite a while now, although in between Mim went off for a few months, she is now back on track. Mim loves her lifestyle. She counts her calories and she does not forget to have carbs which is a need in every individual’s body. She is totally against extreme diets like keto or starving. All through her life, Mim had never starved herself, and she does not recommend anyone this extreme diet. Workout or yoga in the morning keeps her going throughout the day. However, Mim also added she does not go hard on her body, every morning when she wakes up she listens to her body and works out accordingly. In addition, Mim tries her best to take care of her mental health. Although she has a very tough schedule, she has to run here and there for every shoot but Mim keeps a gap of two days for herself. Those two days Mim spends the day reading Humayun Ahmed or watching her favorite movies or series. Enjoying the fine weather with a cup of tea is something that Mim loves as well. Mim added she will not compromise her mental health or her physical health.

A single character that would empower women and change the “typical” perspective of our society.
