Scaling Up with Verne Harnish: Empowering Business Leaders in Bangladesh
Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Bangladesh made history on October 14, 2023, by hosting an insightful training workshop featuring the renowned author, entrepreneur, and business expert, Verne Harnish. The event, held at the prestigious Sheraton Banani, marked Harnish’s first visit to Bangladesh and had a profound impact on the approximately 50 distinguished EO members and dignitaries in attendance.
Verne Harnish, the founder of EO and CEO of Growth Institute, is globally recognized as an authority on business scaling. He is also the author of influential books such as “Mastering the Rockefeller Habits” and “Scaling Up.” This special training session provided EO members, their spouses, and top management from member companies with a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most respected figures in the business world.
The event began with an enlightening keynote address by Mr. Harnish, during which he shared invaluable insights and strategies for effectively scaling businesses. Addressing emerging entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, Verne stressed the significance of core values, stating, “If the Core Values are the soul of the organization, the core Purpose (some call it ‘mission’) gives it heart.”― Verne Harnish, Scaling Up: How a Few Companies Make It. In his presentation, “Why the Rest Don’t,” he emphasized the importance of fostering a culture of growth and adaptability, aligning teams, and creating a winning strategy.
