As far as Bangladesh is concerned, no athlete has ever qualified since we have started participating as wildcard entry in 1988 Seoul Olympic but Siddikur Rahman, the golfer is giving Bangladesh a glimmer of hope as he is currently in 54th spot in the list of Olympic field team for golf where 60 golfers can qualify. The major events like men’s 100m (15th August: 7.25 am BST) will be telecasted on the wee hours of early morning due to time difference in Bangladesh.
