Miss International 2024: Representing Bangladesh is Nuzhat Tabassum Afa

Nuzhat Tabassum Afa will proudly represent Bangladesh at the Miss International competition in Tokyo this year. Azra Mahmood, founder and Managing Director of the Azra Mahmood Talent Camp (AMTC), made the announcement during a press conference on September 3. She shared additional exciting news: AMTC has officially secured the licensing rights for Miss International Bangladesh 2024.

“This is a moment of immense joy for me,” Azra expressed. “Achieving this milestone establishes AMTC on a global platform and strengthens our position in the international modeling and fashion industry.”
In her address, Azra announced another piece of good news: Shokubutsu, a leading beauty and personal care brand, will be the official sponsor of Miss International Bangladesh 2024. She is optimistic that with Shokubutsu’s support, they can elevate the event to new heights and play a significant role in promoting sustainable beauty.
Shokubutsu, a Japanese brand, celebrates natural beauty and embodies the secrets of maintaining healthy skin as seen in Japanese beauty rituals. The brand aims to redefine beauty practices by rediscovering ancient wisdom. Each soap is crafted from plant-based ingredients, ensuring deep cleansing without harming the skin, and maintaining its natural moisture balance for softness and smoothness. Their involvement in this year’s competition aligns perfectly with its theme of inspiration.
Nuzhat Tabassum Afa will represent Bangladesh at this prestigious global event. Previously, she was among the top ten finalists in the Mister and Miss Celebrity International competition last year.
As a skilled model, Afa will compete against emerging stars from various countries, making her participation in Miss International 2024 a significant step in showcasing Bangladesh on the international stage. Talented individuals like Afa are helping to elevate Bangladesh’s legacy in international beauty competitions.
This year’s theme, “Sustainability in Pageantry,” was chosen to inspire Japan’s national organizations to be independent, self-sufficient, and confident.
At the press conference, Shokubutsu’s brand manager, Sadia Mahjabin, expressed her satisfaction with the brand’s involvement in Miss International Bangladesh 2024, stating that this partnership will be a successful endeavour. She also highlighted her brand’s commitment to promoting natural beauty.
Masaki Mitsui, Managing Director of Lion Kollol Limited, shared, “Shokubutsu is a Japanese brand dedicated to natural beauty. We are thrilled to sponsor Nuzhat Tabassum Afa at Miss International 2024, as she will showcase her beauty and confidence on the main stage.”
Azra Mahmood, excited to share the two pieces of good news, remarked, “We feel deeply honoured to organize such a prestigious competition. This opportunity aligns perfectly with our goals, as we aim to empower young women in Bangladesh and help them realize their dreams beyond fashion. Our emerging talent, Afa, will shine brilliantly in this esteemed competition. We are not only excited but also eager for our competitor to contribute to the tradition and legacy of such an international event.”
Stephen Diaz, Executive Director of the Miss International Organization, also expressed his enthusiasm: “Having Bangladesh represented in our event for two years is truly wonderful. Beyond beauty, the people of Bangladesh are renowned for their hard work, talent, and exceptional skills. Our collaboration with AMTC is a unique honor, and we look forward to witnessing the continued progress of this institution.”
Miss International 2024 will take place on November 12 at Dome City Hall in Tokyo, featuring representatives from over 70 countries who will celebrate the uniqueness of beauty, culture, and global unity.
The press conference was attended by Azra Mahmood, Shokubutsu brand manager Sadia Mahjabin, journalist Sheikh Saifur Rahman, and Nuzhat Tabassum Afa, Miss International Bangladesh 2024.
