Grand Turkish Food Festival at Sheraton Dhaka

Sheraton Dhaka along with BRAC Bank Ltd and VISA are hosting Flavors of the Ottoman to showcase the exquisite Turkish cuisine for the food lovers in Dhaka. The Turkish Food Festival starts on the 1st and will end on the 9th of September at The Garden Kitchen restaurant of the brand new 5-Star Hotel in Banani – Sheraton Dhaka.

The launching ceremony of the festival was held on 31 August 2022 at The Garden Kitchen where high officials from the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, BRAC Bank Ltd., VISA, Sheraton Dhaka, Guest Chefs from Turkey, Food Bloggers, and media were present. Kemal Burak Temizel (Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Dhaka) was the Chief Guest along with Daniel Muhor (General Manager, Sheraton Dhaka), Md. Shakawath Hossain (Chief Executive Officer, Unique Hotel & Resorts PLC), Md. Mahiul Islam (Head of Retail Banking, BRAC Bank Limited), Guest Chefs from Turkey, and Sheraton officials cut the ribbon to inaugurate the ceremony. A food tasting session by the Turkish Chefs took place after the inauguration where guests sampled the exotic signature dishes which will be on offer during the food festival.

Guest Chefs Ahmet GÜLER, Sait DURSUN, Mehmet Aslan, and Sheraton Dhaka’s Erhan Demir are culinary artists from Turkey who will be presenting Turkish delicacies during the festival. Guests coming to dine will be able to enjoy authentic Turkish dishes such as Hunkar Begendi, Eggplant Karniyarik, Guvec, and Potato Oturtma by Master Chefs Sait and Mehmet. The world-famous Adana Kebab, Urfa Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Shish, and many other juicy kebabs will be on offer for meat lovers! Various mezes such as Tabbouleh, Fatoush, Eggplant Dolma, Bostan Salad, Muammara, Haydari, Ezme, Sogus will also adorn the spread. To ornament the mouth-watering savories, a massive selection of Turkish desserts such as Pistachio Baklava, Walnut Baklava, Pistachio Durum, Chocolate Sekerpare, Havuc Dilim, and Sobiyet will be deliciously presented by Chef Ahmet and Erhan.

The grand Turkish cuisine will only be available during dinner and the buffet is priced at BDT 8500 Net per person.
