City Bank launches the City Alo American Express Credit Card

City Bank and American Express announced the launch of The City Alo American Express Credit Card, the bank’s first contactless credit card. Designed especially for the modern, independent, women business executives of Bangladesh, the card seeks to open new frontiers for women in financial management.

The City Alo American Express Card provides a host of valuable benefits for cardmembers. A contactless credit card, it offers customers a one-tap payment facility of up to BDT 3,000. The card also comes with welcome offers, giving cardmembers a chance to earn BDT 1000 savings at Sheba.xyz, a popular on-demand household service provider or at Persona Beauty Perlour and a 1-night stay at Green View Golf Resort.

Some of the benefits on the card include:

  • An attractive range of medical and health benefits, including annual health insurance coverage of BDT 20,000 per year on in-patient services and BDT 5,000 on outpatient services. The card also offers up to 35% savings on various healthcare services at United Hospital, Labaid Cardiac Hospital and Labaid Specialized Hospital.
  • Access to the City Bank American Express Lounge at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, up to 5 times a year at a 50% discounted rate for the cardmember, her companion and two children Up to 33% savings on dining, lodging and shopping with various merchants across Bangladesh and on American Express ® Selects across the world.

This latest addition to City Bank’s vast portfolio was unveiled through a press meet atThe City Alo Flagship Branch in Gulshan Avenue on 4th August, 2019. City Bank’s Vice Chairman Hossain Khaled, Directors Tabassum Kaiser, Rafiqul Islam Khan and American Express’s Director for Global Network Services, South Asia, Kurush Dastoor were present at the launch event. Other top officials from the two organizations also attended the event.
