Tisha began her acting career in 1998 through the TV show Shat Prohorer Kabbo directed by Ahsan Habib and composed by Anonto Heera. “I love all my roles; I have portraited so many roles that I can’t actually say which one is my favourite. I can’t even say which of the roles is best among all; only my fans can tell which of my roles was the best,” she said.

Tisha won her first Meril-Prothom Alo Award for Best TV Performing artist for her part in the TV serial Graduate. Tisha began modeling with Meril Lipjel. She has participated in advertisements for Coca-Cola, City cell, Parachute, Bombay Desserts, and Keya Makeup. She won the Meril Prothom Alo Awards for modelling in 2003 and 2004

On the silver screen, Tisha first appeared in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki’s critically acclaimed Third Person Singular Number in 2009 featuring alongside Mosharraf Karim, Topu, and Abul Hayat. In 2017, she was seen in Doob, a Bangladesh-India co-production coordinated by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki featuring Irrfan Khan, Parno Mittra, and Rokeya Prachy. She got the prestigious Meril-Prothom Alo Award for Best Film Actress for her execution. The film was the Bangladeshi entry for the 91st Institute Grants for Best Worldwide Include Film. Her first release of 2019 was Fagun Haway based on the historic Language movement of 1952 coordinated by Tauquir Ahmed featuring Siam Ahmed, Abul Hayat, and Yashpal Sharma. The film was the Bangladeshi entry for the 92nd Academy Awards for Best International Feature Film. Within the same year, she featured Toru for the short film The Old Man and The Girl by Afzal Hossain Munna. Tisha is seen within the much-expected Bangladesh-Germany-Russia co-production Shonibar Bikel coordinated by Farooki featuring along with a multicultural cast counting Zahid Hasan, Mamunur Rashid, Parambrata Chatterjee and Eyad Hourani. She is going to make her debut as a producer by co-producing the upcoming film “No Man’s Land” starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. She is also co-producer in the upcoming film “The Burning Question”, also directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. “This is my debut as a producer. There are some big names in ‘No Man’s Land’ so the feeling is really good. Starting my career as a producer on the big screen is not only a great step but also great responsibility. The expectations are high,” said Nusrat Imrose Tisha.

Covid-19 had forced all production houses to pack up their shoot. The country now is gradually recovering from the shock. As we accept the new normal and start our regular life, the production houses are also starting to catch up the pace.

Elegance comes naturally to Tisha

“We are trying to avoid shooting in crowded places but we have to accept the new normal and go on with our life but maintain safety not only for us but for those around us,” she said.

Tisha is also portraying Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib in the Bangabandhu, an upcoming Bangladeshi Bangla film, directed by Shyam Benegal. This is a biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Arifin Shuvoo will play the role of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. “We are trying our best as this is our history and our next generation should know it; the world should know it. We are trying to give our best and do justice and make it accurate and authentic; this is as much I can say about this; we finish shooting,” said Tisha.

Asked if she ever feels that she would want one of her roles to come to life or she would want to be like any of the roles, she said, “I love my life. I love being me. Just as I am.”

“I can share some experience with my fans and readers. But I can’t motivate or advise. I am still learning. I can say this to my fans and readers that I believe in simplicity and I try to be simple in every aspect of my life. This is the best policy I believe which helps me to be happy,” added Nusrat Imrose Tisha.
